PARTICIPATION IN TOURNAMENT
The school management has participated in Tournaments so far in the Kenya Secondary School Sports calendar.
TERM 1 TOURNAMENTS
The school has participated in Decathlon and cross country held on 5th and 6th at Shanzu where the school emerged position one in Decathlon Boys category. The school also produced the top best boys namely Mwanjalo Said and Hamisi Kibwana. The two boys have presented the county in regional games held at MALINDI High on 25th – 28th of March 2015.
Mwanjalo Said has qualified for National Decathlon to be held at Eldoret from 10th – 19th April. The department wishes him all the best as he presents the region and the school.
The swimming school team performed poorly in swimming due to lack of exposure. We are looking forward for a good result next year.
The school football team has participated in three friendly games and posted the following results. The school is preparing well to retain the Mombasa region championship this year.
Tononoka Vs JCC – 8 -2
Tononoka Vs Dr. Krapt 2-1
Tononoka Vs Kizurini 5-0
Volleyball and Rugby are yet to participate in any friendly game. The school is expected to present a team in Athletics to be held on 9th – 11th April and also participate in the newly introduced sport rugby 7s (sevens)
The rest of the tournaments will be held in term 2 as shown in the calendar of events attached here in.
WORKSHOP
Mr. Njenga one of the department members has participated for a Rugby referring and coaching workshop held at Shimo la Tewa on 19th – 21st February.
The department is looking forward to a successful second term where ball games and Athletics will be the only events remaining for the year.
